Taking the color out her dress in #7 made me wonder how it would be in B&W...also in #7 her skin tone isn't affected by the light filtered through the trees (Green). #5 is my favorite.

Thanks relie, I appreciate it. I am thinking of doing a little more work on that shot... I will repost if I do.

Thanks for the comments chienfou, I did try it in B&W but I don't particularly care for it. Here it is...

#7 in B&W

Number one gets the attention of this old dinosaur. What beauty, all in one place! Where's my oxygen bottle? I can't breathe.... help!

 You sure it's not your location? You seem spread a little thin to me. :)

Number 1: This is a photo that features the not too nice "up the nose" and "arm-pit" mistakes.

Number 2: Better, but still with the featured arm-pit.

Number 3: A lesson on watching for the details. A common problem with these kinds of dresses is having the bra strap showing. This can be avoided before the camera goes "click". But the real problem here is the watch. A not needed item, that is way too high key and draws the eye away from the lovely lady. The lighting is wonderful here.

Number 4: A snap-shot holding little interest.

Number 5: Bingo. . .we have a winner. Still a little bra strap showing, but that can be fixed in PP. This is a very nice portrait, that is flattering to the subject. Great lighting here.

Number 6: Needs to be cropped in to focus on the subject, getting rid of the cluttered background. Go for the portrait, and loose the leg shot part, which is not the primary here. Also, again with the distracting watch.

Number 7: This sets a mood that says "sad" and/or "depressed"; however, I don't think the subject is going to like this shot all that much? Also, I like the dress color better than the resulting color removal look that in my opinion shows the wrinkles more. Also, the color of the dress will help the eye balance out the slight green cast on the subject's skin. This image may show your skills in PP, but does it flatter and make happy the subject?

Black & White: Crop the bottom to take out the lap wrinkles in her dress. Crop some off the top, and the sides as well. Now you should have a tight wonderful, yet full of a dark mood, portrait of a lovely young woman.

It's a little frog sunning itself on a large dying rose petal. shot in Florida a few years back. Scanned from a slide.
