My second attempt at sports photography. I tried to apply a few tips offered by Captain C. Thanks again Captain! All swimmers are on the same team. The two photos of Zig, he is my grandson. His first year on the team and he has a tremendous competitive nature. He is six years old. I have really enjoyed shooting these events and look forward to tomorrow nights meet to practice some more. It is a tough sport for me to shoot as the old carcass hurts when I'm done. No pain no gain I guess. I really would like to improve my skills at this part of photography.

Nice Doug!! But only 3 made the trip.:):) The other tow must have sank.:):)

The first three are of swimmers unknown to me and the last two are of my grandson "Ziggy". All swimmers in these pictures are on same team. I really enjoy shooting the meets but it is quite challenging for my old carcass. Another meet tomorrow night, can't wait.

Hey Erv, I had a editorial mishap. All swimmers accounted for, no sinkers. Check back in awhile buddy while I clean up this mess.

You aren't kidding. And I get to have him with me everyday while mom and dad are at work.

I bet he makes you feel a little younger too. Till you sit down and try to get back up.:):) I have found this true with little Harrison.:):) Sure wish he wasn't 200 miles away.:( But I still like to drive, so we make it down as much as we can.:):)

Right you are, sometimes I have to beg for mercy. To Brendan's credit he is a tremendous help with the yard work, he loves it. For only being 6 he really pitches in. I try to encourage him to use his hands as well as his mind, trying to help him develop a handyman side.

Canon 70-300 aperture priory , I start with ISO at 200 and adjust as needed to keep shutter around 1/500 sec. Another tonight but will be lucky if we get it in, lot of clouds right now and expecting thunder storms later this afternoon.
