I picked up the Sony A65 yesterday morning, of course I had to wait for the battery to charge. Got a few shots of my Fat Max.
I've got lots of studying to do with this A65.
Feels fine in the hands.
lots of buttons and stuff.
Got a book and the handbook and manual.

Thanks so much Marilyn.
I have to study the books.
I love the photos I have seen which are taken with the Sony Alphas. Great cameras. They are sharp and have great color rendition.

There you go, Karen !
your first good review of your new baby..
Hope you know we're all waiting on more shots with it.
Congradulations...a great camera, it will bring you years of enjoyment. Nice thing about your Sony...what you see through the viewfinder...is what you get. No guessing on settings and having to constantly check you LCD screen to make adjustments. You get to see what the sensor sees. Just take the time to figure it all out...lots of buttons and such, but they are your tools. Those tools when you learn them will give you lots of control. For now...just take it slow and easy. The photos you posted are not to bad for taking it out of the box. And I highly recommend you investigate the built in HDR capabilities...I use that feature a lot. Have fun with your new camera...and BE PROUD, Sony users are in the minority here.
great camera,I love mine.
Great camera, had mine for 12 months now, upgraded from A100. Lot to learn but capable of outstanding image quality. Like James, I use HDR function often, multi-frame noise reduction is great in museums and low light without a tripod. Manual focusing using the peaking function is useful. So many go down the Nik-Can route and cast doubts about anything else but I'm still smiling! Enjoy your new acquisition.
From one Sony user to another... good choice!!  Enjoy!!

Your pictures are very good. I too, upgraded from an a100 to the A65 about 6 months ago. I am still learning how to utilize all the buttons. Continue to learn and share your pictures.

I still can't believe the bells and whistles on this camera.
