Penn Jillette is the magician who's half of the "Penn and Teller" magic / comedy act.
He's also an Atheist.
One thing I really like about him is that he studies carefully what people believe and he calls them on it. You may recall some time ago last year when he ripped Christians for NOT sharing their faith...he said that IF they believed what they SAY they believed....then they'd tell people about it...and not shy away...and he was absolutely right for doing so.
Well...now he's back schooling Piers Morgan (who is a Roman Catholic) on Catholicism...and do you know what?
Penn is exactly right.

I guess I'd only put Piers in that category...lol...Penn, (from what I've seen) would disagree with my beliefs, but he'd be fair about it and not resort to name calling and other childish tactics.
I think I know what you like about him,His father and your father are the same person.
Whenever you look at faith from a purely logical standpoint, it always falls apart. That's one of the reasons so many religions and religious branches exist - none of them can be proven true.

I would disagree with that statement 100%.
In fact, I would say that the Christian faith is not only the logical choice, but that it can be proven true.

People have got a lot to thank America for but
nothing compares with keeping Piers Morgan over there and out of our hair.

Unfortunately....your welcome!
We'll trade you for someone if you'd like...we're tired of him. :)
Interesting statement.
Can you prove that God exists? Can you prove the virgin birth? Can you .prove that God looks like you and me? Can you prove anything about Christianity?
You may believe but that is not proof!

Sarg,
Before I start this; I'd like you to promise that you won't resort to name calling and "quips" and "sound bytes"....
Also, I'd like you to promise that you'll actually CONSIDER what's being said..not what you THINK is being said.
If that's acceptable to you...then I'll start a discussion about my statement.
This was interesting. I'm a fan of Jillette (a bigger one of Mr. Teller) but I cannot for the life of me figure out why Morgan was given that show. Jillette is a libertarian (of course, there has never been a libertarian government in any country in the world, so he's a bit of a impractical dreamer there), but his views on religion are spot on. He is respectful of others beliefs, but he expects that those beliefs would take on a certain linear logic. Too many religious people are smorgasbord believers.
