I finally got to try my luck at photographing birds in flight this past Feb.
I am wanting to do more of these shots. Any tips are welcome.

Well done for your first attempt! Gulls are a great bird to start on, you can even find them in Colorado. I'm sure you'd like to get closer. Perhaps you can bait them in if you can find them near a parking lot.

Very nice shots for a first timer. Keep photographing BIF and I can guarantee there will come a point when you will be editing out pictures that 3 months earlier, you would have killed for. You're off to a very nice start and what I'm saying is, you will get better.
