We had plans to camp up on the North Umpqua below Diamond Lake a ways, I wanted to possibly catch all the world class waterfalls there, but the whether wasn't going to cooperate with us camping outdoors... so we redirected to Haystack; a short 45min drive from Bend and met some friends who came over the Cascades from Portland. Good times. Loved the short drive home.

Beautiful pictures ... and oh my, the overhead bird shot is perfect. The colors of the sky are awesome!

One mo. So, where the other images are mostly single shots, slightly, or traditionally post processed, this image was arrived at after applying a single image HDR post process technique. I haven't cleaned up the digital noise (but could) and the contrast in the sky and color saturation to the naked eye was not this defined or brilliant, which sometimes is a turn off to me, however I like this one, and if I come back to it someday when my recent memory won't guilt me into thinking I am committing some sort of sin against nature, I may just tweak it some more, have it printed and see how it looks hanging on a wall.
