To those who follow the discussions that bash Christianity.

To anyone that follows the "Christian bashing" discussions on the 'hog...I'd like to point something out that you may or may not have noticed; That bashing is easy....cute quips and drive-by comments are the norm for those that oppose the Christian worldview...what is much harder is to give real introspective answers about what they believe and why...self examination is difficult if all you're used to is bashing and slashing.

Witness this thread where I TRIED to get one forum member to explain how his worldview (materialism aka the material world is all that there is) provides a foundation for the existence of non-material entities such as the laws of logic...notice the convoluted answers that were given...and notice also how the conversation died when this forum member was pressed to actually make rational sense of his position.

This is the norm for conversations of this type...when pressed...generally (in my experience) those who oppose the Christian worldview either resort to more name calling and sound bytes...or they just magically "don't have any interest..." in the question that they had a LOT of interest in at the start...lol...

The fact is; ONLY the Christian worldview provides the necessary preconditions for the intelligibility of logic, knowledge and morality...no other worldview can...and so Christianity MUST be true, due to the impossibility of the contrary.

Remember, unbelievers are unbelievers because they REJECT WHAT THEY ALREADY KNOW...they are not unbelievers because they don't have enough evidence!...giving them more evidence just allows them to be the Judge with God being the one one trial when the reality is that THEY are on trial and God is the judge!

PS: Here is an audio summarizing this approach:

And here is a very good video about how believers shouldn't "give up the farm" when discussing their beliefs with non-Christians

Great post.
People really do know the truth, they just choose to reject it.
My eyes were opened when I realized that God (the potter) has the right to do as he pleases with the pots (us) that he makes.
We are fortunate that He loves us.

Always search for the truth.
