dismal time lapse of rose...lighting ideas???

Shot this time lapse of a rose blooming....trying to use natural light...duh... was experimental...and its kinda like the lab blew up...lol
I know there are several huge mistakes here...central rose was already in full bloom...focus is soft..those things I can correct...looking for lighting suggestions.
I have no studio lighting equipment...but several floor lamps I can jerry rig with some type of lighting and a reflector etc.
Any C&C and all suggestions are welcome...

You might want to give the free trial version of Panolapse a go. It has a function called RAWBlend that will help even out the frame-to-frame exposure levels.

Get some 24x36" white featherweight board from a dollar store (cost: $1 each). Try placing one or more of the boards so more soft light falls on the plant. If your ceiling is white, aim a gooseneck lamp upward, and use a CFC bulb so you can soften the light even more by taping a paper towel over the cone. I guarantee you'll have fun playing with these simple light sources.

Along the lines of what I was thinking...some kind of reflector to even out the light...most of the time lapses I take are of sunrises...so the clouds are my friend......takes about 2 hours...this little adventure takes 3 days...and I didnt even consider the effect of passing clouds on natural light

I think it's interesting with the out door light up and down with the clouds passing... I like it
