It is a great blog. I always look for it every day and have really learned a lot from him and some others on UHH. Maybe I can make a decent image someday with all their influence..

I look forward to his wonderful photos each day. Phil is a keeper!
The thing I admire about Phil's photos are not only do you see some interesting techniques but the pictures show the critters in action shots.
Phil had one shot that made me wonder how he was able to get the shot of a gator walking toward the camera taken from looked like a one foot level. He explained that he used a remote trigger on a camera mounted on a low tri-pod. Seems he has been visiting that swamp so often he can predict where the gators may show up.

Yes, he does a great job of taking his shots. He was lucky that day though. I would be afraid the gator would decide to see what the camera tasted like, LOL! That would be my luck!

I, too, enjoy getting the daily shots from Swamp Gator. I enjoy each and every one of them. Phil, your work and effort as well as your "applied" knowledge about the critters/birds in your swamp allow you to share great shots. I know you enjoy what you are doing. It shows in every photo and in your comments. Thank you for taking the time to maintain your photo shoot schedule and again for the time to comment and post. I so appreciate your willingness to share. Marta N. Hicks
