Ok, I need a little help, These were taken with a Nikon 50 mounted to the D3100, with a reverse Pentax 50 mounted to the front of the the nikon lens. What would the magnification be?
pollen on the stamen of a little flower
back end of an ear wig
front end of an ear wig
Pollen on a stamen of a holly hock flower
some thing from the mouth area of a flipper beetle
I believe that you are quite close to 1:1 mag (life-size). You need to measure magnification yourself, by focusing on a metric ruler, as close as possible.

Thanks Doug, here is a picture of the ruler. How does this tell me what the magnification?

You have captured about 13-mm wide section of ruler, but it is not in-focus, so we can only estimate. Your D3100 camera sensor is 23.1-mm wide x 15.4-mm high. 23.1/13 = 1.78x life-size.
