A recent photoshoot . . . .
. . . . where a Heavy Metal fan met rural Wales
Inside a very old barn
The same barn, both by available light
Some how the contrast seems to work.

Thanks for the comments. In another Forum the first was more popular.
The subjectivity of personal preference.

The lighting is great in #1 but I like the run down building with the torn jeans, just works for me, as you say personal preference
I much prefer these Gamlaman, I think the face painting in the other set detracted from the photos. Would love to see more in that cottage and also more exteriors.Well done.
3 for me , but all nicely lit
Greg, sadly not a lot to see inside, a load of rubbish, a plastic garden table. Last winter's snow [we had a lot up here] has done serious damage to the upper floor. there is no roof. that went years ago.
Although there was rain in the air the cloud was sufficiently high for there to be usable soft light, one small advantage for this area of high rainfall. We do get blue skies, occasionally.
Love #3! Certainly a study of contrasts: Her clothing is a contrast to the subtle, muted tones of the setting; young vs. aged ruins; her beautiful face vs the rugged building; her gentle expression in contrast to the boldness of her apparel.

I could not have put it better myself. Thank you.

I knew I liked #3 and read this, then went back and liked it even more.
Chips94, jrb1213, thanks for the comments. I suppose it is the unrelated contrasts as listed by Carysue than made these images 'work.'
