I recently visited a friend's home in Menifee County, KY. I am a beginner and every time I visit his area, I feel as if I am attending the most incredible and exciting photography school!
beautiful shots ! where are these falls? we live not far from there, would love to go see them !
Each of these photos were shot within about a mile and a half from my friend's home in Wellington, Ky. This is in the Brushy Fork area in this section of the Daniel Boone National Forest. There are no trails and it is a wonderful, rugged, bush-whacking exploration!

Great series, gorgehiker. Wish I lived close to an area like this, looks fantastic.
The first two photographs (waterfalls)work for me.
Excellent compositions - well taken.
beautiful water fall shots!!!
Beautiful shots. The area reminds me of Carter Cave State Park area in KY.
These are great, love the lady slipper with the light on it!
haven't had a fried shroom in many years. photos were fantastic!
Stunning waterfall and flower photos! I'm afraid to ask, but what are the things that look like skulls? And what was pp on the image? Looks like a triple exposure :)
I am a Kentucky horse lover and I certainly mean no disrespect to horses. This horse skull is on display with many other interesting garden art objects in my friend's yard. I took the photo as an experiment with in camera multiple exposure with a Nikon D5100. Thanks for your interest.
The lady slipper is beautiful!
Thank you. It was naturally backlit by the late day sun.
