Learning the layers in elements 10

started to play around with layers tonight. Heres what i came up with. I know there not great, but i was trying for a silhouette with a good back ground. Let me know what you think. Im still learning!

very nice job on stacking layers, to get a sweet result. Once you feel better about using layers, ( use a different layer for each tweak so they can be individually changed later)....the next hurdle will be "masking". It was a big hurdle, but made my results really get much better. For example...if you had masked the layer and did some revealing by painting on the mask with a soft black brush, you could have kept those clouds from being in front of the trees a bit better. There are other ways to fix that also, but "masking" a layer is a powerful tool to start to use. Nice job....love the overall look of both shots.
