First post in Christian Photography Section...
Our late pastor, Hugh Mosher, (who passed away five years ago) served in the Army and fought in the battle of Okinawa. Our congregation wanted to dedicate a flag pole in front of our church in his honor. The memorial service was held this weekend. We were able to get our Representative to get a flag for us and they flew that flag over the Capitol building before sending it to Mrs. Mosher. Hugh was also a Boy Scout troop leader, so the local Scout troop helped by raising the flag at the memorial service.

Very nice thing to do.
I asked Mrs. Mosher why she looked a little disappointed in the first photo, she told me that it would have been a little better if the new flowers we planted would have bloomed in time for the memorial service. Other than that she was very pleased with the way the day went.

Thanks for the welcome, and I'm glad you enjoyed looking at the photos and reading the story behind them!
I guess I'm late in seeing this but it was a very nice thing to do for the pastor.
