I get called by the State Troopers Assn. every year, and get called by others as well. I just tell them that I have my own charities.

I get my local police department calling me annually. Every year I tell them to send me the request by mail. They push me to donate over the phone and I hold my ground until they give in and say they'll contact me by mail.
And every year I recieve nothing.

The only charity I give to is the JKM757 photo equipment fund. I give to this charity because 100% of all donations go to the purchase of photo equipment.

I never donate to a phone call or door to door and magazine ad donation solicitors. Also, quit donating to political parties long ago. There are worthy charities out there. Find one and donate to them.

Check it out then. Most info is outdated and inaccurate. Most have new CEOs or CFO's and just the names have changed, not the fantastic salaries and benefits.
My 89 year old Uncle who was a postal employee will cross out the 'postage pre-paid' on an envelope and put a stamp on it. WHY ? Because mail needs to be paid for, for the post office to survive. Can you believe that
