I have asked several birders if they knew what this young bird was and nobody could give a for certain answer. I am hoping some one on this site could help me or direct me in a direction to get an answer. Thank you for your help. This was taken in Atlantic Beach, NC.

WoW... google search shows this exact bird in multiple examples all with "what is it" in the dialogue.
Apparently the one guy who knows what it is isn't on the web...

I thought they looked like brown thrashers...or maybe young Grackels

Audubon Bird Books should give you the answers to any bird you photograph.

well it is my assumption that if these were taken at the beach then they must be beach-birds.....lol :)
