CAN AUSTRALIA,ENGLAND AND CANADA SURVIVE.... GIVEN THE FOLLOWING?

The folks who are getting free stuff, don't like the folks who are paying for the free stuff, because the folks who are paying for the free stuff can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.

The folks who are paying for the free stuff want the free stuff to stop, and the folks who are getting the free stuff want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!

Now... The people who are forcing the people to pay for the free stuff have been told by the people who are RECEIVING the free stuff, that the people who are PAYING for the free stuff, are being mean, prejudiced, and racist.

So... The people who are GETTING the free stuff have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the free stuff by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free stuff, and giving them the free stuff in the first place.

We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are now more people getting free stuff than paying for the free stuff.

Now understand this: all great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded. The reason? The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.

Thomas Jefferson said it best: “Democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not€.”

The number of people now getting free stuff outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff. We have one chance to change that at the next election in 2013 will we? Failure to change that spells the end of Australia, as we know it.

ELECTION 14 SEPTEMBER 2013 IS COMING
A Nation of Sheep Breeds a Government of Wolves!
I'M 100% for PASSING THIS ON!!!
Let's take a stand!!!
Political Correctness: Gone!
Borders: Closed!
Language: English
Culture: The Australian, British and Canadian Constitution!
Drug Free: Mandatory Drug Screening before Welfare!
NO freebies to: Non-Citizens!
We the people are coming
Only 86% will send this on; it should be 100%. What will you do?

Good luck with that!
You already have over 50% receiving free stuff.....they will not shoot themselves in the foot.....and also they ALL vote !
We are having the same in this country (US) with this new President giving as much as he can away as free stuff !
All in all I think it is time for an Alien invasion so we can all live off them! :)

There are some very honest people who receive your "free stuff" who need it. They wish they didn't need it, but circumstances mean that without it, their lives will become desperate.

There are also some who don't want to contribute into society when they are able to do so. Penalise them, but don't hit those who cannot help themselves.

In the UK, there are food banks opening up all over the place, which are being contributed to by those who have a little more.

For once on this site I will be strong. What you have laid out is one sided and bigoted. Yes there is a problem, but I pray you will never have to be one of those in need of help. There are desperately helpless people who are losing the help they utterly depend on. So please try to put yourself in their position and have a tiny bit of compassion.

Interestingly the same thing is going on in nearly every 'developed' country, especially the UK. Who is going to be the first one to elect a government who will stand up for the people who are paying for the hand outs? I'm not holding my breath for us to be the first

There's a really, really good reason that people with more should give to people with less (and we don't give 'em much) -- to keep the country stable.

150 million homeless and hungry people can put a real crimp in your day.

This is correct. And I will agree that a lot of people need this help, and gladly help these in need. However, my job takes me into a lot of homes. What gets to me is when I know that a person is receiving this help at our expense and they have a nicer car than I do setting in the driveway and a bigger television than I have in the living room along with the latest products from Apple.

How soon we forget. The United States went through a ' Great Depression .' There were a great many more people out of work, hungry and without a home than now.

The big exception was the government wasn't giving away food and money and subsidizing housing, they created the "C.C.C." and proud Americans worked for money to support their families and got satisfaction knowing they were not given the money but earned it. Both of my Uncles were in this program and the family not only survived but my Grandfather, a polish immigrant felt proud they were working for their country in a small way for the benefits they got.

Try that with the current population. They'll laugh and say "Why work, I'm getting it free"

I am afraid you are right Sarg69. There will always be those who are lazy and have no understanding of the need to EARN money.

But my point remains, don't hit hose who cannot help or defend themselves. They deserve our ongoing help.

Um..... Not really.

When the Great Depression hit, many families suffered. It is estimated that one-fourth of the labor force was unemployed during the worst part of the depression. With many families suffering financial difficulties, the government stepped in to solve the problem and that is where the history of welfare as we know it really began.

Under President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the Social Security Act was enacted in 1935. The act, which was amended in 1939, established a number of programs designed to provide aid to various segments of the population. Unemployment compensation and AFDC (originally Aid to Dependent Children) are two of the programs that still exist today.

A number of government agencies were created to oversee the welfare programs. Some of the agencies that deal with welfare in the United States are the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Department of Labor, the Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Education.

The CCC was a small part of a HUGE government bailout program. People that look at the past and see a rosier time often simply don't know history.

That's not what I see. I see struggling families. In fact, I'd venture to say that that family with a nice car, big TV and Apple hardware is the rare exception to the rule.

Argument by anecdotal evidence is virtually always done by the side without an argument otherwise......

The better question is this: Why is every country having the same problems, even though some of those countries are run by conservatives and some liberals?
