I think the problem is that we, many of us are in a way snobs, we believe that FREE software means rubbish, I was advised by a member to get it to convert colour to mono en mass.
It is now permanently on my pc
Well, I love picasa and have had/used it for a loooonnnggg time now. Yup - it's very definitely free and sincerely not rubbish. Glad you're a convert. Kills me how people think they just have to spend 100s when something free works just as good - sometimes even better. It falls under that principal where the more expensive camera takes better pictures - not the person taking the picture.

I was and am amazed by the quality of the program
The Picasa special effects and edits can be addictive for sure. #3 is really neat!

Yeah - what I really love about the program is once you accomplish the edit you want, you can keep adding to it and changing appearances endlessly. Very addictive!!! lol lol lol
I'm sure you will be seeing more & more converts now that Adobe is leaving a lot of long time dedicated customers behind with the the new CC subscription program.
