Thanksgiving has been about sharing from the first one....
This kid was on the street in New Orleans. His mom had him on the sidewalk with a sign begging for $ for food. She was back in a doorway alcove with him out front. Unsure what the money might be used for, I traded them lunch for the photo...
This Thanksgiving, if you have enough, give Thanks. If you have a little extra, give to someone who might not. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.......
Rocco, great of you to share, not only your tallent as a photographer, but your compasion and wisdom. Knowing, or at least feeling, that money given might not be used for food, you at least got the kid one meal. Telling a picture and a timely reminder to reach out to those who too often may go without the basics.

very well done both the photo and the humanitarian gesture. I was living in a homeless shelter myself 9 years ago. what is sad is that there are actuall people scaming homelessness in order to make money by begging. a good begger in new york in a prime location can make $500.00 a day panhandelling. It is hard to figure out who is real and who is scamming. But as the Lord said, everytime you help the poor you are helping Jesus too. God Bless you.

Very nice, thank you for reminding Me to be thankful.
You never know when that person that you helped who you thought was in dire straights was really an angel sent here to test you.
