Ok, thanks, just one problem, the Nexusis the only phone I know of not to have an sd/micro sd card, so I need a program that allows me to attach a usb cable and transfer data, the only other option I have found is a backup to gmail and I don't want gmail.

Thanks again

Hi, I don't use a cable for transfer, I use the app. "WiFi File Transfer" by SMARTERDROID. When you run it, it creates a web site on your phone and you connect to it with a web browser on your PC. I find it works better than a cable. You have to have a wireless network of course. I have a gmail account but don't use it for mail, only to use the ID to log on to Google stuff.
I can see both my sd card and the phone's internal memory with the program. You just have to know where Android stores stuff. I think it's in an xml file that you will need to look at, but a web browser should do that.

I have an android phone. You should be able to email yourself the message, then you can print it out from your computer. On my phone I just bring up the body of the text and then bring up the settings window, from there I choose forward and type in my email address.

assuming you have a wi-fi router,Try 'easy SMS' on the phone, then you can access the text messages on your phone via a web browser plus you can send txt's from your pc via the web interface..

I'm not sure about your phone capability without an sd card, but...get a OTG adapter. This will adapt a regular USB cable to your phones micro USB charging plug. You should then be able to tether your phone to your computer and transfer the files. If your phone can handle that it would also allow the use of a mouse or keyboard on your phone. If it the phone doesn't handle it then it would require a custom third party ROM to be installed on the phone. That, for me anyway, is a bit to 'techie' for my old brain to attempt.

JR1- as another Android owner i can tell you that once you have entered your email address and used it, it should come up each time with the entry of the first couple of letters. This should help with the task.

Maybe you could use DropBox since I believe they have an app for anything including tablets and phones, as well as Macs and PCs.
