It's utterly amazing how much time and effort (including me with this note) has been spent on whether you pronounce GIF with a J or with a hard G. Who really cares? Why should we care? Some people call my aunt as that pesky picnic bug the ant, but does it make that much of a difference?

It does if you go to a hardware store and ask for Aunt killer.......

I prefer it with a hard G mainly because Jif is what I put on my sandwich with some strawberry jam. Or is it Gam?
