Wendy, you are a pro! Love your version. I'm her mom - this is their first child, but our third grand. They've asked me to be present with camera for the birth and subsequent newborn shoot - so my portfolio will be growing :)

Na, not a pro! Just trying to help a friend!

I am long on portrait-taking head knowledge (you should see my collection of photography books!). And short, very short, on experience (as in zero), with actually doing a photo shoot. But I finally got my chance! Of course in my excitement much of what I thought I had learned, fell right out of my head

My victims were shy, sweet, patient and just a month from delivering their first child after ten years of marriage. To further complicate matters, I'm not only inexperienced, but the mom and the mom-in-law :) We did have fun and I learned a ton about camera settings, directing, posing, lighting and improvising! I welcome critiques, especially from photographers with portrait taking experience.

Nice work.
You're developing a style and keep at it with confidence.

I like these very much, Kerry. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite, as there are several I like lot. The booties shot is adorable, the couple together on the blanket, and I actually like the OOF shot of them with the yellow plant in the foreground. It's probably wrong to take the focus off them, but who cares, I like it.

Very nicely done set. Keep it up!

You are a friend, Wendy the best kind that encourages others to be the best they can be! Thanks!

And since you are a fellow dog lover, I have some new cute Hap pics for you I'll post tonight.

I love getting at least one A!! Thank you Bohemian!

And you nailed the need to work on the technical - That was my conclusion from the experience too! All the book learning in the world doesn't make the fingers handle all the buttons and dials more deftly!! On your advice - my practicing more and studying less ;)
