all of these were enhanced (manipulated) using the Picasa system
this is a big red rose in real life...this is it in sepia
I call this one Daisy Palm Trees, cuz it looks tropical and reminds me of palms trees swaying
this is a closeup of geranium blossoms...took out all the color except where you see it and put a "museum matte" around the edges to finish it off
Beautiful. Thanks. I'm partial to the geraniums, but like the whole set.
My wife had the insight that flowers scream "choose me, choose me" to attract their pollinators. It works for us people too.
I like the geraniums and the daisies most.
I love the sepia rose! Just so different--tho' all roses can be gorgeous, this rendition makes you look again!
thanks Dave. I can agree with your wife. Love the wonderful variety and many colors of flowers. My favorite though, are roses...though photo-wise, I love all varieties. :D
thanks Photofile....and I like your scripture reference. :-)
thanks Carly.....yes, this particular rose is actually more stunning in sepia than it's original color, which is pinkish-red. I'll post another rendition of it in a bluish tint and see if you like that.

looking forward to seeing it. :-)
Excellent work chickie, I like them all so individual but no3 for me I just love colour popping!
yes, I like color popping, too...and this one really needed it, as the rest of it was not important to the photo, in color.
I love artistic flowers, colors shapes and composition all in the eye of the artist. This group has quite a few talented artists within its pages.
Yours are amongst the best I have seen for this type of working.
thanks for your comment, PC!
