I am your "Hit Me" starter for this month. After the super Patterns in Nature over the weekend I know you must have more "best shots". "Best Shot" may be related to the challenges of the past week - nature, portraits, or move your body - or something totally different. So "Hit Me' and "Hit the rest of the UHHers" with your best.
Here are some of mine combining ground view, nature (storm moving in), use of light, and an attempt to show scale/perspective. These were taken under threat of severe thunderstorms and at 2 lighthouses in Portland Harbor. Look to the right - sun, to the left ominous clouds. I also was practicing with Neutral Density filter.
Ground view and scale
Scale and darkening sky
I's a LOOONG way to the lighthouse. Storm clouds coming in on the left
Shooting into the light and storm. The small boat is "Sea Tow" and it was leaving the harbor in a big hurry - probably someone stuck out to sea/harbor wanting to get in before storm
Historical Lower Town, Québec City where locals and tourists gather together, where the men are good looking, the ladies cute and the police are out writing up parking tickets
Bushido
Loc: No Where and Every Where
Great start Pat. I will be back with a few shots later.

A wonderful follow up RR. Always good to have the second set of picture rival the first.

Took these from water level, had to be careful not to get my camera wet, the third one came out sort of like tilt-shift. I thought this is a different way to look at things from this angle.
#1 Kipsap Penninsula from Edmonds, WA.

Thanks for starting us off with such nice images. Could hang a big enlargement of number 1 on the wall, especially mine.
Playing in my kitchen this morning with shades and morning light.
She seemed a little curious about...
...what was going on inside behind those blinds.
she looked a little nervous as I stepped closer to the window.
Terrific start can't wait to see everyone's posts.

Peanut is a little mad at me I had her out shooting in the rain today, we both got soaked. However here are a few images I got when it stopped raining. Sher I moved my body as best I could.

p1 Great POV. So P1 is from "Coast to Coast" :)
p1
lhammer- like the light patterns and the doves eye is looking at me
jfan - see you later
Bushido - like the lighting in #5, all the lines in the others and sunset, BUT Peanuts concentration is priceless. Love her blue LL Bean raincoat :) I like rain shooting if its not pouring.
jfrank - I can see why its your best shot
emang - light on horse head is perfect; but partial to barns, field and old building
Having connection problems w main computer (hubby's). Hope it gets resolved. Meanwhile enjoy each other's best.
