If you think it's a good deal, then it's a good deal....that's all that matters

You're going to love it. I did exactly the same set up with my D90. We travelled all over the US. Great pictures. Have fun.

Baysitter11,
Hi. I see you have a Nikon D90 and I'm thinking of buying one , also , although the price is still too high . Have you used your D90 for gymnasium basketball action shots-- NO FLASH ??
How do you like your D90 ? Any camera problems especially in low light situations ? Lens used plus settings for basketball shots ?

Would appreciate any and all details re: the D90 .
Thank you very much .

Keep this in mine, the 18-200mm VR version I does not have a lens lock. This lens lock keeps your lens from creeping when you are walking with the camera hanging off your shoulder with the camera and lens pointing down to the ground. Now the version II lens will have this lock on the lens. Nikon has been adding lens locks to a lot of their new lenses.

There is a solution to prevent your lens from creeping and that is by putting on a very wide rubber ban on the zoom ring. You can go to YouTube to see how this works.

Micky 432 you will never regret buying D90 l am using since 2009 it is much better than d5100 or D5200 except movie and more pixel s

D90 has motor inside so you can use many lens even some of the old lens l love my d90 if l think of upgrade than will go d600

Also on the D90, the pop-up flash can be used to control remote flashes (automatically in ttl) for multiple light set-ups as long as those flashes are Nikon CLS capable. Works great

Himat,
Thanks for your quick reply re: Nikon D90. I'm so close to buying one but a lot of research states that the Nikon D7000 beats the D90 in superior technology but the price is much higher . I don't care about video or excessive mp's as I'm looking for a camera that is like the D90 and has great image quality and can handle indoor gymnasium basketball shots with
NO FLASH .

Can the D90 handle indoor sports , no flash , and do you think the going high price for it is justified. I need your personal advice, please . Pro's and cons . Thank you .

Himat, br Thanks for your quick reply re: Nikon D9... (show quote)

The D7000 is tons better than the D90 at high ISO. The D 90 has the same sensor as the D300s and I did a high ISO test on the D300s, D7000 and the full-frame D700. The 7000 and 700 looked so close it was hard to tell them apart. The D300s (D90) was not even playing the same game, not even close.

GoofieNewfy ,

Thanks for responding . I see your point re: much better high ISO results with Nikon D7000 vs Nikon D90 but if I 'm satisfied with the 3200 , hi 6400 , ISO of the D90 , along with other proven features of the D90, am I missing that much in buying the D90 vs the D7000, considering the doubling in price of the D7000. What do you think ??? Thank you .
