No one know for sure where the Clampetts came from, but clues during the TV series "The Beverly Hillbillies" seem to point to Southwest Missouri. Could this be it? Taken near Warsaw Missouri in the hills of the Ozarks.

Sony A55 processed with Topaz Adjust (Widescreen 16:9)

Very nice picture. It must be in a park as it is well cared for.

There's no mention in the song....just poor mountaineer.
It remains a mystery....

The Ballad of Jed Clampett
Come and listen to a story 'bout a man named Jed
Poor mountaineer barely kept his family fed
Then one day he was shooting for some food,
And up through the ground come a bubbling crude
(Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea)

Well the first thing you know old Jed's a millionaire
Kin folk said Jed move away from there
Said California is the place you oughta be
So they loaded up the truck and they moved to Beverly
(Hills that is, swimming pools, movie stars)

Well now it's time to say goodbye to Jed and all his kin
They would like to thank you folks for kindly dropping in
You're all invited back again to this locality
To have a heaping helping of their hospitality
(Beverly Hillbillies, that's what they call 'em now,
Nice folks Y'all come back now, ya hear?)
-Flatt and Scruggs-

Thank you Kindly...the canopy of the dense forest made for a lighting challenge. Thanks to Topaz, I was able to bring out the very dark shadows for an overall even exposure. Others I know can do much better...but I'm having fun learning and creating.

No, that's not the cabin. It's too high class and well built. If memory serves me I don't think it was even a log cabin but a board and batten type of structure.
