I did not turn my rain gage rightside up untill the 6th of May, I was affaid it would freeze and break. Since May 6 not counting last night(have not been out side yet this morning) I have recorded 22.5 inches of rain. That is 10 plus inches above normal. Something is going on with our weather, but I would not call it gobal warming. They say the highs will be 70 to 73 this week. That is a few degrees below normal.

ok, don't call it "global warming", but it isn't right. haven't seen an old fashioned winter in many years and the summers seem to get hotter and drier here in Pa.. and in a few years when power companys start shutting down power plants people will really start complaining when all their air conditioners don't work. i know one company is mothballing over 50% of their generation in 2015. that is a fact.

I don't know what part of PA you're in, but here in the western part, there has been a few recent harsh winters. The winters 3 & 4 years ago were terrible. To put it into perspective, Homer Alaska averages around 55 inches a year, 4 years ago we had somwhere in the low 70s. I have noticed that we don't have much spring/fall anymore. It seems to go from cold to hot, and vice versa in the fall, rather quickly.

i'm in eastern pa. near the delaware river. only had my snowblower out twice this year. once was to remove 4 inches only to keep it from getting slushy and refreezing again. in the old days i can remember having 20 to 30 inches on the ground for months. we had an 80 inch snow blower on a 70 horsepower tractor on the farm to keep our lane of a 1/2 mile clear for the milk truck to pick up our product. our winters here are much milder now usually with much less snow than way back then. at least that is how i see it... thanks for checking out my rambling
