Inherent Canon problems?

I don't mean to cause even a ripple but I have noticed, in analyzing the many posts from UHHers having problems, whether it be exposure, focusing or white balance, that they all appear to involve Canon cameras in one way or another. I haven't seen a single posting asking for advice because their Nikon has let them down which is understandable to me because of my D3 experience. My D3 never gets in the way of taking photographs. I never turn it off because it just goes to sleep but when I pick it up it is ready to go long before I lift it up to my eye. In that split second it has evaluated and metered the intended scene or subject and has anticipated my intended subject and set perfect focus. It even calculates where a rapidly moving subject will be several minutes in advance.

Much has been said about shooting in Manual and this, I am sure, is the only way to use these Canon camera devices because it appears that, left to their own devices, they simply screw things up completely. So as much as I would like to assist Canon users, and God knows they most desperately need it, it is difficult to advise when there are so many steam driven wobbly bits involved in their construction. As for fellow Nikon users, isn't it wonderful having such a sophisticated piece of equipment which frees you from the drudgery of mere details and frees your God given artistic talents. Cheers, Rob.

You'll probably find that the areas mentioned with issues are probably most likely user issues! not a Canon issue.
These are the most common issues with hobbyists be there equipment Canon or Nipple.

I don't have problems with my Canons. I hear both brands are great.

I shoot canon which has a P mode. That stands for "psychic". All I have to do is put my 1D on "P" and then just think about what I want to photograph and the camera does the rest. I don't even need to press the shutter button. The camera does it all.

I get your point there, definite Freudian slip. Thankfully he wasn't going to say anything about Pentax.

You're delusional. Better get back on your meds. I don't know why admin doesn't screen this crap before it's posted.

No probs Tompar, we're just having a bit of frivolity in this too serious world....P.S. If you are a Canon user I can understand it must be difficult to say shhhh! (nikon....) Cheers, Rob.
