Stacking a Diagonal line

Stacking a diagonal line from one side to another can be a little tricky. I have tried this @ f2.8 to create good background blur but because of the small overlap in "focus and out of focus" can result in areas that are not crisp. The best results that I have obtain so far are between f4 & f5.6 , this still gives good blur and gives you a larger overlap between focus and out of focus. The 2nd image is just 1 of the stack to show the small amount of focused area.
The 1st image:- top right corner, bottom edge there is an area where it is out of focus this is the result of not continuing through past the end of the subject with the stacking. This small mistake can ruin an image.

Hi Steve,
You have shown some informative examples of stacking vs. single shot photos. They should help explain the technique to those who don't yet understand. The only missing information is how many shots make up the stacked image. Mike

Hi Mike
It seems that there are a few people interested in stacking so just showing mistakes that I have made. The stack I think was 22, I sometimes get lazy and don't record it. I know that we are still in the minority but if we can bring in 2 or 3 people who really want to give it a go then it will be worth it. I'm amazed at the number of people who view the posts and don't leave any feedback, this happen's to you also?
