Why did POTUS invite China to naval excercise off Hawaii?
Our Navy is not in the greatest shape these days. Why are we sharing info with the Communist Chinese?
We are not the invincible powerhouse anymore. Times have changed and manouvers should be secret, not shared with China. They are building up their forces. True, they have only one carrier.
The Russians thought they were invincible in early 1900's and the Japanese tore them up.
History will be repeating itself and millions more will die just like in WWI.
Heard about this on radio this evening.

The invitation did not come from the President - the invitation came from the United Stated Pacific Fleet. This not only allows China to participate and helps to stabilize relations, it also allows the United States a more transparent view iof the Chinese military.
Not necessarily a bad thing.
You may not know - China has been invited to watch these meneuvers in the past. We've already showed them ours. Now it's their turn.

Mean while they steal our military secrets by hacking into our computers (not mine of course) and no doubt some greedy A**hole is passing top military to the Chinese.

If I remember my history correctly, on the morning of 7th December 1941, the Japanese attacked the American Fleet at anchor at Pearl Harbour, Hawaii, virtually destroying the Pacific Fleet. The American Navy recovered and to this day, they are still the best navy in the world.

Why not invite them? The was North America is selling everything to them we're going to become one with them as they are going to own us soon.But maybe that's a good thing.We don't hear about Muslim terrorist in China.GMO,

Just be grateful you do not live in the United Kingdom! consecutive governments here have sold everything off, steel, cars, shipbuilding, manufacturing and they are now even going to sell off the Royal mail.
They have scrapped the Harrier Jump Jet squadrons.
They have scrapped the Nimrod squadrons.
All three Aircraft carriers, Ark Royal, Illustrious and Invincible have been scrapped.
The Army has been reduced by twenty per cent.
This small island is so overcrowded.
There is no justice unless you have a healthy bank balance.
The country is bankrupt.

I think any member of today's Navy and almost every military expert would laugh at your pronouncement that "Our Navy is not in the greatest shape these days." As an ex Marine even I am offended by that statement.

With the Muslims taking it over, who would want to invade it? Why spend big on defence of it.
