European Union/Britain court battle

The abuse of Britains benefit system is a hot topic at the moment but if that wasnt enough, the European Union are now taking us to court over a benefits for migrants argument. The E.U. claim that the UK " right to reside " test will deny thousands of migrants access to some benefits. I think, at last, our government is actually waking up to the scandal of welfare abuse.

I think the UK is completely justified. Why should they want a million people showing up in the country just to get free money/benefits? I think the US should wise up and follow the UK lead, esp in light of the fact that they are planning on giving citizenship to thousands of illegal Mexicans soon.

i think the UK governments stance is just a token gesture to its people in light of a recent thrashing at local elections by UNITED KINGDOM INDEPENDENCE PARTY, a party that actually states they represent the real concerns of citizens! Token gesture or not, i hope we dont back down in court.

It's not only Mexicans. What about all the Middle East and Asian people that have overstayed their visas. They are illegals also.

When my mother came here from WWll after meeting my dad in France, he had two have 5 people write letters and say he would be honorable and take care of her, for her to come here, along with....$5000.00 in case it didn't work out, the gov had money to ship her home. Why is that not happening now? My dad never got the $5000.00 back. She stayed here till she died with him for 59 years. Most countries arrest you & to prison you go for being in their country illegal, what's wrong with our country? They need to wake up and quit be a bleeding heart, to illegals, and be a bleeding heart to it's own down & out!
