Thanks to high winds and a torrential hail storm last week, the last of my apple blossoms are now on the ground!

A final shot in their memory and a thank you for the pleasure they have given me

Taken on a Canon 7D with my trusty Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro lens on a tripod

Not a bad effort, … to be honest it is blooming marvellous.
What a joy and delight we have gained over the shortest of times they have been with us. The older you get the more the expectation of this miracle of nature is cherished right from the first signs of a buds emergence through to the pinnacle of beauty and fragrance.
Nature’s bounty (hopefully) will appear in the fullness of time just before we slip gently into or dormant period of late autumn and early winter.
Again thanks for posting there will be a time shortly when we can review and reflect what has been and what we can look forward to.

Thank you very much, Michael

They do come at that wonderfully positive time of year when we need a bit of cheer, but as you say they are all too fleeting!

Looking forward to the apples :)
