Welcome. I was wondering what your main focus of the picture is supposed to be? I personally am drawn to the clouds at the top especially because the telephone poles seem to be pointing at what is going on with them. The tree on the right side is a little distracting to me since it is cutoff, but overall I quite like this pic.

I was trying to capture the storm clouds & the sunshine off the telephone poles

That's what I thought. I like the picture I just kind of wish I felt a little closer to the clouds. But that is just me and there are probably lots of people out there who think I am wrong. I do like the colors in this picture; it definitely looks like a storm is brewing. Keep shooting and sharing with us. Thanks for sharing!

I'm new here at "Ugly Hedgehog" too, I enjoyed your picture! You have the picture named as a storm day, so the only thing that I would suggest that you might want to do with an edittor is back down on the color blue.
Since I was making this type of suggestion, I downloaded your photo to see what I'd be able to do for it.

I've attached an altered version to make sure that what I'm trying to say is understood.

I wasn't out there to take the picture so the original you've presented may be more accurate than my slight color alterations. Ahhh, mother nature!!

But I'm not one of them.... I agree the tree on the right is distracting and had you zoomed in, it would have made the poles stand out more and still kept the ominous cloud formation impressive. Good concept!

Thanks to everyone who Comented on my pic.
TIC TOC While the color change was good the original pic was closer to the actual color of the sky that day.
The tree to the right is a little distracting I will pay more attention next time thank you.

Since you are new here I just thought I had better let you know that it is against the rules here to download someone's pic and alter it without asking them first. The Admin has just made this a rule and you can be banned from this site for doing it. Wanted to give you a head's up and you should probably go back through and read the updated version of the rules. I wouldn't want you getting banned for doing something you didn't know was against the rules.

Thanks for directing to rule reviewing. I'll have to say that I'm a bit embarassed by this, but many thanks for telling me that I wasn't doing something correctly. I've done this unknowingly on a couple different forums....It stops NOW!
Thanks again.

Braggail,
I've been notified politely that my downloading and altering of your picture without 1st asking for permission was wrong!

I'm sorry! From now on I'll always ask someone before I touch their work.

Just wanted to tell you not to take it too hard tic toc. The rule was just put into effect today. Until now it was just considered bad ediquette to do so if the original poster (OP) didn't say so upfront. But there have been a few who have taken pictures and completely changed them from the original pics so Admin has stepped in. It is great that you were trying to help and even better of you to apologize Braggail for accidentally breaking a rule on their photo. Keep on giving advice and helping because that is how we all get better.

Thanks!
