Some birds on lago di garda. The Great Crested Grebe surfaced with a huge fish and spent about 15 minutes trying to swallow it.

This is going to sound terribly distasteful but hopefully you will learn something from my crass comment. Lake Garda is an absolutely gorgeous lake in an outstanding setting. You title your post "Lake Garda, Veneto, Italy" and show us a bunch of stupid ducks and grebes floating in water which could be from a tub with easter egg blue dye in the back yard. Others may praise, I think you need some eye training.

Thanks for your comments. With hindsight the title was not well chosen. I had had a tiring day travelling home and should probably have left any posting till later. I have many photographs of the scenery of this beautiful area and will of course post one or two later which I hope you will find more appealing.
