Does anyone have any experience with Perfect Photo Suite 7? I installed it on my computer. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I can't get the program to work without a lot of bogging down and crashing.

This is probably a silly question but here it is: Does your computer meet the minimum requirements to run Perfect Photo Suite 7?

If this is not the problem, contact their Tech Support.

This is a good example of why we have to keep buying new equipment.

This software uses a lot of memory. Check the requirements for it and what you have in your computer. If using as a plugin with PhotoShop, check compatibility with the version of PS you are using and the percentage of memory allocation you are giving PS (found in preferences).

If you have other programs open with Perfect Photo Suite 7, the memory issue may come to bear.

Additionally, with all of this accounted for, PPS7 can be finicky and 'crash'. However, in most cases, it produces beautiful outcomes.

Make sure you don't have ANYTHING else running that eats up memory. Like multiple tabs in browsers.
I have to make sure I close the 16 tabs I usually have open in Chrome before I do any photo editing.

Those tabs accumulate fast, don't they.

Thanks for all your help - you were right. My computer doesn't have enough video memory and apparently can not be upgraded because it is a laptop. I guess that, in addition to the photo gear I'd like to have, I also have a new computer on the wish list!

Been looking forward to questions regrading onOne's Perfect Photo Suite 7, now at 7.1 but a new release of 7.5 will be coming out very soon. This is a powerful plug-in but also works as a stand alone app. The video display requirements are equal to any editing program so keep in mind when buying any software program that your hardware needs to be compatible, as RAM is when running newer programs with outdated computers. I will open a file in LR4 then, according to editing needs, I'll move into Photoshop Elements, back to LR4 or then go into PPS 7. Sometimes, I'll move from PSE right into PPS 7 and then finish in LR4. In Elements, go to File and scroll down to Automated Tasks and here select one of the components, like Perfect Effects or Perfect Black and White. In LR4, just right click the picture and choose one of PPS7 components. There are a lot of similarities between PPS7 and Nik. Actually, there are so many apps to choose for editing. I love PPS7 as a plug-in for several reasons, one of which is the tech support and videos that are available on their page under the heading, University. So much fun and ways to improve your photo editing with PPS7 and priced very reasonably.
