Hello fellow photographers,

Trying to find a website to upload photos to for sharing with friends and families.

No interested in paying a recurring monthly fee.

Paying a one time fee for a certain amount of disk space is fine.

When that is used then the option to purchase additional space.

Thx all. markinthemix.

Take a look at weebly.com. Totally free, unlimited space, single images, galleries, slide shows, and many web site creation tools that are very simple to use, allowing you to personalize your site.

I use dropbox. It is very private but everybody has to download the service to their computer. It is free download. Check it out.

I concur on PicasaWebAlbums.
It is seemlessly integrated with the Picasa [FREE] photo editing software.

No! Your friends can get images from your dropbox even if they do not sign up with dropbox.

What you have to do, however, is put your photos into your Public Folder within dropbox. Then you get the url for the file (it's easy but no need to go into it now), and email your friends the url. When they click on the link, the file is downloaded into their download folder.

I do it all the time. It's great. The only issue is that, with large files, it takes a little while until they're uploaded to dropbox. But that happens whether your file goes into the Public Folder or any other folder.

Picasa is a free website from Google; you can upload to "the cloud" and share with whomsoever. Its also a great Photo Editor. Alyn

Just a note. Try 'Quote Reply' instead of 'Reply' so we know who's message your're answering.
