In the rain...
Hi LRF :) I went out this morning to buy some of these for my new garden pond which I installed hastily for her indoors..lol. It took me ages to attract the attention of a young lady assistant who knew even less than me about what I should buy, so I ended up buying a cheap marginal plant to get my free coffee for penisioners and went home. I'll try again some other time..lol..nice shots..tfp :)
If you are not using a polarizer a very low angle is required to defract the light making the water clear, I recently submitted some tadpole images in my Topic "Woodland walk" to illustrate what I mean.
I am surprised Robbie you did not spend a couple of minutes doing research on your computer; on water lilies the ideal marginal plant for small garden ponds. Assuming the garden centre stocks them!
Either way it would give you some pleasure learning; and finding the perfect excuse for a nice cuppa.
Whats next on the list? Amphibians: newts and frogs, what a photographic opportunity that would create; once your dragonflies arrive.

Interesting point re the CP. I can return to the "scene of the crime" to give it another go. In this case, the results may not be pleasant: at the right angle I could see the "plumbing". This is a public park-- not a naturally occurring lily pond. Appreciate the commentary.

Ha ha good point re plumbing.
You're #1 would be tremendous at a lower angle and closer.
