See what I said earlier about being ready to drop the bomb???
Portraits are the hardest for me to critique, but here goes. First, your apeture is too small. Try shooting with the smallest stop your lens will allow. This will isolate the couple better. Second, the lighting is just awful. If you dont have studio lighting, dont fake it. Buy a good flash and bounce it. With those two recommendations, all i have left is..She is pregnant ..make her look that way..a shot of her looking down at her baby as she holds it with soft focus. The couple still looks as if they are trying to conceive..make me feel all three of them.
The first two are actually the better ones, in my opinion. I agree with Rhino regarding the flash, bouncing it of a wall or the ceiling, you have to see the which works best, will soften the light and eliminate the flash's hot spots
shoulda crooked his right thumb alittle to finish forming the heart, cute, any baby yet?
Not yet but she is in labor. thank you for asking I just need to make these work. I think the crop works for the underwear line and the vignette works for the other. I am scrapping the idea, I wanted to see what everyone else thought and was quite surprised. Grateful though for the honesty. Lighting is an issue however I believe I am going to buy the studio lights next week.
Glad they love the pictures and excited my granddaughter will be born soon. Hopefully before Thanksgiving...
I see a storyline, feel the baby move. Technically image needs work. If shot on a mountain peak you got the stars, but what do those points of light add. Over exposed by flash, camera or editing? If you still have all thepixels cut down to remove the hot spots all over flesh and belly cloth. Her complexion needs attention. Try copying red channel and overlaying it @ 20% blur it a bit then remove the blur at points like eyes, lips, fingertips.
If she does come back ask that she bring her hairbrush.
I like the second shot, very sweet. The first one seems to have a shadow going across the left side and is distracting on the husband. Always pay attention to light and see where your shadows fall :)
