like the first one... lots of deep, rich color, and a nice reflection. the second one, not so much - the white sky detracts from the image. i'd probably crop that one just at the bottom of the dip in the far skyline, so that the pic showed only the riverbanks. that's where most of the color is anyway...

I'm surprised you didn't hit the Ausable or perhaps one branch of the Sacandaga. Lots of photo potential there.

Went along the east branch of the Sacandaga, found two types of foliage, bare and green. It was just a poor year along there for good color. Found the same to be true in other area, just too much rain from the tropical storms. About the only decent area was between speculator and Indian Lake.
