I had a friend who's father was more then rich. He owned a Rolls Royce. We were cruising in the car one night when a kid pulled up next to us and beat us to the next light. My friend said: What should I do sell it and buy 10 of yours?

Maybe because DxOMark receives more advertising from Nikon than Canon?

As a whole, I think Nikon and Canon are pretty much neck to neck. One year Nikon will have the superior model, the next year Canon will.

..... I've visited Ken Rockwell's site quite a few times over the last 10 or so years, one very knowledgeable guy when it comes to photography and no one can take this from him. But ..... there's no grass growing under his feet either .....

..... He used to be Nikon, the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth ..... Now the guys become an authority on automobiles, stereo equipment, rugby balls and even spinach souffle ..... His site gets a lot of traffic and for a buck he'd sell horse manure .....

..... He does very well for himself ..... Even though he claims to get nothing in return from the manufacturers like Nikon, Canon Fuji, Leica ..... only a fool would believe it .....

..... a new high end camera come out and he's already got one ..... he brags about how cheap he is but appears to spend thousands on a weekly basis ..... since when does 2 + 2 = 5?

..... claims to need donations to feed his growing family, begs for camera donations, pleads with you to buy from his merchants through his links ..... stop feedin that kid, I liked Ken better before .....

..... People change, ideals change, opinions change ..... Ken Rockwell has changed ..... he's in it for the money doc

..... ie. 10 years ago he wouldn't even think of using a normal lens (46 degree field of view) ..... it had to be a wide angle or more than an 85 ..... ready for this ..... now his favorite is the old mighty 50 on a FF or the 35mm on his crops ..... it's all about the money doc ..... Ken Rockwell's a advertising site now just like Popular Photography Magazine ..... Take every one of his opinions with a grain of salt .....

Nikon is a smaller than lets say Canon and lets the bigger companies do the research, then makes the improvements that make them the best. I never liked comic book humor but this is at a higher level.
