Hi. I got interested in photography since I retired from teaching about 10 years ago. Love photographing birds, mainly at Huntington Beach, SC a regular vacation spot for us. Going to a family wedding tomorrow and want to take great photos for the bride. I have a Nikon D7000 with a 18-200 lens and a 50mm 1.4 prime. What do you suggest using when the light is low inside? I also have a speedlight which I am not real familiar with. Help please. Thank you

Welcome to the hog ssohl. You will probably find that flash is a big no no if there is a pro 'tog there as they tend to make stipulations about friends and family with cameras. You may be best served by bumping up the ISO inside to cope with light conditions. Your prime is fast but you won't be near enough to use it a lot of the time though it will be useful for group stuff. At the top of the page is a search facility, it's worthwhile hitting that and keying in family wedding to see what advice is on offer.Good luck with it, hope it goes well.Maybe you can post some shots from it soon.

[quote=ssohl]Welcome. You should have asked sooner. Many would suggest going to the church and experimenting. I would say set your ISO to about 800 and shutter speed priority. David

You can use your camera flash as a master flash and your SB600 as a slave flash. This short tutorial can help you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW_crpcZH3k
