World Famous Cadilac Ranch on RT 66
First off the cars seem out of focus to me. But that aside, I have seen this picture before. It seems that everyone takes the same photo of these cars.
Perhaps a different approach to the subject is in order. For instance lying down and using a wide angle lens on just one car. Using a telephoto and picking out a specific area of a car.

Yes, the cars do seem a bit soft. This image is representative of the many submissions that were images of the art itself. I liken this to taking a picture of one of the Masters in a museum or an outdoor sculpture. It was nice to see some of the grafetti from around the world just as it is nice to see the work of other artists but taking a picture of the art of others did not get my vote. I looked for the story, the impact, the juxtaposition, and the image quality when voting. There were some present in the submissions. Also want to say that I would have taken this image if I were there just to have it in my travel log.
I have also seen that "documentary" photo and would enjoy viewing a shot taken from a unique point of view - maybe lying on the ground? :)
After I did my own photo shoot for the contest, I analyzed what it was I liked about my favorites that had been posted, and as wowbmw mentioned, 3 of my favorite 4 - none were my own :) - had something else in the image that provided the impact or story: the park bench and tree with eye behind, the man looking at phone while running in front of building, the fireplug and chains in focus in front of blurred graffiti wall.
Saw the picture first, was intrigued, then read the title, and said to myself, ohhh. I think that this image has real potential in being a non-figurative image. I think that I would tightly crop it in a non-standard format to remove as much sky and earth as possible and have the viewer try and figure out what the image is.
The only thing wrong with it is that it's not original. It's been photographed or seen by almost everyone.
I may off track here, but find some spot of graffatti and use macro. We can miss great detail by only getting the big picture.
Interesting. I would have taken the shot from and angle about 40-50 foot more to the right. The natural light seems to be a little harsh. Also, the open break between the far right car and the next closest one interrupted my over-all "sight-flow" as it were. All in all I'd say it is a very nice picture. How many times does a person get to see a bunch of old ( And what I believe are Cadillacs) set into the ground appearing like Stonehenge? Good pic, keep shooting!!!
Nice attempt at working with a subject that is frequently photographed. However, your subject does not seem to draw one into the image as there are no lines of sight to do so, also by shifting the lens or changing your position you could bring your subject into sharp focus, thereby drawing the viewers eye in. As for the sky the blue is not representative of a real or fake sky, thus it appears flat and grey. The dirt in the foreground is also distracting due to its placement. Think about how your eye and your viewers eye will traverse the image and what you would like to convey, other than a picture of cars with their head in the dirt.... Good luck and keep bringing more images to view.

http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/photo_contest_ratings.jsp?pcnum=59I like the mirage effect on the ground in front of the rearmost cars. Makes them seem to extend back into infinity.
