With the amount of activity in this forum, I'm having a devil of a time keeping up with who said what, who is being addressed and finding posts addressed to me that I can't find again to answer.

I wish hitting the Reply button would address or fall beneath the person's post that the reply is intended for rather than winding up four pages later and not being seen if the person isn't online.

I agree with you and I wonder if this thread were 4 pages long already if you would even know I replied to you. That is, unless you were notified. Now, I do know that I get e:mails notifying me, but now I get so many e:mails from Ugly Hedgehog that I just delete them. Wonder if the admin could change this? Hey Admin, you out there listening? Hope so...Cheryl

And, of course, we are the only two posting to this thread so far so my reply appears right below yours but that normally doesn't happen. Cheryl

I shut off the notification messages too for the same reason..too many to keep up with. I go to the thread and read backwards until I get to something I've seen before.

Yup...and it's the ones that interest the most people where it becomes tough.

That's what the "QUOTE REPLY" button is for. There's no way to guarantee that YOUR reply to a post will fall right below the one you want it to. Way to many replies in a thread.

There are almost 10,000 users on the forum already, and we're getting almost 3,000 posts a day. That's huge for a forum as new as this one, and with only three main categories.

It has been suggested to the Admin before, several times, that the PICTURES category should be broken up in to subject areas, and maybe even the PHOTO DISCUSSION area the same way. However, that suggestion has not been acted on at this time.

JimH..I realize that the forum's service provider may not allow the option and the responses here are phenominal but using the quote option can often result in every comment and picture being reposted and sometimes three or four times. I know to include who I'm replying to and perhaps to what I'm referring if a reply is directed to any one individual but not everyone does. If it is something there might be an answer to, it's worth bringing up.

I agree with the complaints above. No excuses webmasters..traffic is what you want. I am a photographer not a webmaster so i cant offer good advice other than look at other groups that flow smother and pick them apart. This is your site, we hang here, ..do better. SIMPLE!
