Pinhole photography can be great fun, but you don't need a special camera. Any removable lens camera will do including digitals. Get a body cap and drill a very small hole in the center. You can drill a larger hole and make several "lenses" with fine drills in shim brass and tape them over the larger hole. I got some interesting pictures a long time ago with a KM7D. I made the hole in the cap with a heated paper clip

You're right, but these cameras can be left for 3 minutes on wet ground, unlike your D cam.
