Thank you Dave and Pink Dragon, I'm just sorry I couldn't get the others photos to go to UHH. One was a magnificent statue of three servicemen (for the three main services) and the other was a lonely gravestone all by itself out in the middle of a field.

It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived. - George S. Patton

Nice photo. Well presented. Thanks.

Very nice tribute to those who have served!!
Some served willingly, some reluctantly, but THEY SERVED!

Freedom isn't Free, They are the ones who paid the price for OUR freedom!!

Thanks everyone for your comments. I drive by that cemetery frequently and am amazed at how fast it is filling up. Our world of war is so destructive.

On the other side of the coin, I have a 30 year Navy veteran son, and he survived alive. Praise the Lord! I also have grandson on a nuclear sub, and a grandaughter in her 2nd year at the Naval Academy.

Remember too, a lot of those buried there did not die in battle, and maybe not even from battle injuries, but they ALL served their country and deserve our gratitude and honor!! Thanks for posting, especially at this time of year!!
