i thought i was done with midges but i couldnt pass on this.and friend
Those top two are top shelf. Possibly the best midge photo I've seen.
I rarely comment twice, but I have to here... I love the symmetry of this photo...the whole balance between the two midge flies.

Nice Tom. This might develop into a new Olympic event - "synchronized midging".........
Wow! Those are nice shots!
Tom do you use any kind of noise reduction software? I have found that it really makes some photos pop. With your permission could I post a couple of these shots with different processing to see what you think?

Could do more with the originals but these did OK even though they were not real large files
All that was done to this pic is a little clarity and vibrance in camera raw then Imagenomic Noiseware
Few tweaks in camera raw then ran through Noiseware
This one sharpened in Camera Raw then Noiseware

Probably could have done better on the eyes with the original I used to use Corel Paintshop it has some noise reduction features in it that work pretty good. What I like about the Noiseware software is it has a sharpening section in it so when you do noise reduction it will not lose detail. I usually do my sharpening then and then save the noise reduction for very last.
