Spurs as art. . .
Being bored can be a good thing at times. So I played around with a couple pair of our spurs one boring day.

Pretty neat! Different. Those are items I pretty much never see in my world.
Thank you for your comments. And remember, don't sit on your spurs!

That sounds like good advice! I'm sure through the years someone has sat on their spurs. Ouch! Rodeo riders must be well aware of that danger when they get thrown from an animal. That would be about the worst way to sit on your spurs.quote=mooseeyes]Thank you for your comments. And remember, don't sit on your spurs![/quote]

I do like your use of color. I must admit I have never seen anybody wear spurs but we sure got a lot of Cowboys here in the UK. I work in the building Industry and its full of them.
Well, I was raised on a cattle ranch and we raised Hereford cattle. Hereford cattle originally came from England, as I recall.
Thanks for your comments.

Well, gosh. . .I like you!
Nice effect and Processing of the spurs. I had never thought of taking a picture of something like that. My husband was a rodeo cowboy back in the day (bareback and bulls) and we still have a bunch of that stuff lying around. Good Job mooseeyes! To me it looks like a watercolor painting!
Many of these old "cowboy" things make some fun art pieces and can be hung on your wall. I have a "cowboy" room with lots of things from my ranch and rodeo days (almost 70 now), including my old saddle, branding irons, long horns, hides, pelts, and lots of my art.
Thank you for your nice comments. . .and dig out that old stuff of your husband's and get busy!
