Dinnertime at the Kestrel Cafe, Signal Hill, CA

Hungry chicks
Hungry chicks...

What would you like?

We want a lizard today

OK, where is he?

Here you go kids!

No manners here!

Fascinating. What is the structure they're in? Is that a special kestrel attraction? We live in a forest and see kestrels. How I'd love to have a nest in sight.

Thanks L. Pig--the nest is on the "hinge end" of an oil pumper here in Signal Hill, so the nest is always rocking slowly back & forth as the "head end" of the rig pumps up & down over about a 30-foot arc. Next batch, I'll add a photo of the rig for perspective.....Thanks again for looking, and hit 'em straight 8-)

Thanks very much GWR....5 & 6 not too clear, but I left them in to help show the frenzy when the lizard arrives at the "table", but I also really liked #4....thanks for checking out these shots.

So glad I asked. The answer is fascinating. So, Bogey, you're a golfer too? I find photography much less frustrating ... and far more productive. I'm into golf course photography but don't post those shots here.

Yes LPig, I too am infected with the golf bug, but how was I to know when I started that it was the most difficult sport to play? Photos are def. more relaxing...post some nice golf photos, you're def. in the area for some spectacular ones 8-)
