I wasn't sure whether they were on mall property or not...hmm...it seemed to be a road.

Either way...lol...who cares if they take pictures of a truck in a ditch?

Sorry, but to me the really sad part is how people are just standing around, doing not much of anything while the other two women were fighting back and forth.

Shouldn't one of them, rather than someone completely unrelated, have taken some action to break up the fight? Have we become that disenfranchised that we can just back away rather than get involved?

Regardless of who's right and who's wrong, the fighting isn't right at all, and should have been stopped.

Legality aside, it would have been so easy to step over the guardrail, then take any and all photos.

most malls have a strict policy, it is private property. stepping over the guard rail might not have counted, the rail was to keep people from falling down the hill. the property on the other side may well have belonged to the mall.

The guard was fired according to the "update" at the bottom of the page.
It appears the "Security Guard" allowed her mouth to write a check her ass couldn't cash! I'm sorry but when she started counting, I laughed out loud. She obviously lacked training.

As a retired security officer I have some knowledge about this. One, if the private security officer says no pictures on there property than no pictures. Two, failure to obey an order to leave is a criminal offense. Placing hands on that female is not assault. The officer has every right to enforce a lawful order to cease and desist. The officer also has every right to detain anyone including pepper spray and handcuffing that woman.
True, I don't know the out come if this situation but in most jurisdictions the female would be charged with trespassing and assault on a public safety officer, even though she is a mall security officer.

Her company and the local DA don't appear to agree with you.

Also true, she didn't handle it very well. If you are going go up against a crowed you better be very good and have back up on the way.
She should have told them to stop. Than pepper sprayed anyone recording.

Seriously? Pepper spray them for recording a traffic accident on I-70?

No doubt. This is a classic example of the uniform going to one's head.
