maybe a leaf footed. Still not able to get the focus right. Posted darker than what I saw so I re-posted the image but lighter

Wow, good observation. I am still searching for an image like this on the web. I will look for anything else that may help identify it in the other images I took. I hope it is still in the same plant so I can get some more.

i shot that same assassin bug a couple days ago.its different than the ones i usually see.

They can move more quickly than there size would indicate. It was searching the leaves of a plant as it walked along the leaf edges out and back and never went back to the same leaf. A very efficient search pattern.

yes and very hard to focus on because of all the spikey little things on its body
